According to U Myo Nyunt, vice-chairman of the Myanmar Avocado Growers’ and Exporters’ Association.

The change in the online quality of avocados to sell with a quality assurance system has boosted consumer confidence and expanded into the market.

The domestic avocado market is expanding as avocados are being traded online.

Avocados from far and near are competing with one another on the market during the high season, making it difficult to export them.

“We are using the online system to sell with a guarantee system to customers in the local market this avocado season.” Prices are likely to be lower if current populations enter the market, and online sales are being negotiated with farmers and consumers in various parts of the avocado-producing region.

Hass avocados cost between 9,500 and 10,000 kyats per kilogram, while B-grade avocados cost between 8,500 and 10,000 kyats per kilogram. The price per kilogram of C-grade and lower grades is approximately 6,500 to 7,000 kyats. A large, high-quality avocado of average size costs approximately 1,500 kyats.
