Osaka Castle (saka-j) was once the country’s largest and most important fortress.
The current structure, built in 1931, remains faithful to the original, despite numerous instances of destruction and reconstruction since.
The primary tower, which is 42 meters tall and has five stories, is one of the go to’s highlights. The tower is home to a variety of shows that provide information about the records of the citadel and the city. It is built on a stone base that is 14 meters tall. Make sure to go to the top floor for the spectacular views of Osaka, which are especially appealing at night.
The Hokoku Shrine is another attraction in Osaka Castle Park. Shitenn-ji, Osaka’s most well-known temple, was built in AD 49 and is famous for being Japan’s first Buddhist temple. It features a five-story pagoda as well as a variety of other exquisitely embellished buildings.
