Insurance for Liability: In most states

This is the most fundamental kind of car insurance, and it is required by law. If you are at fault in an accident, it pays for damage to other people’s property and medical bills. Liability insurance can be divided into two categories:
Liability for bodily harm:

If you are responsible for someone else’s injuries in an accident, it will pay for their medical care, lost wages, and legal fees.Liability for Damaged Property: covers the cost of repairing the vehicle or property of another person that was damaged in an accident that you caused.

Accident Insurance: If your vehicle is damaged in an accident, this coverage will cover the cost of having it fixed or replaced, regardless of who was at fault. If you drive a newer or more expensive vehicle, collision insurance is especially important.
