Normal Inquiries Regarding Water Harm.

There are a few normal inquiries individuals pose to about what their home, condominium, or tenant protection will cover.

For example:
Is a leak of water covered?
Is a toilet that leaks covered?
Is damage caused by water from a leaky roof covered?

Covered Damage from a sudden plumbing leak Appliance overflows Weather-related water damage (but not floods) Not Covered Water back-up from an outside sewer drain Flooding Damage caused by poor maintenance Gradual damage is when something causes damage to your home slowly over time.

For example, suppose the faucet handles on your sink are leaking and you neglect to fix them. This would be considered accidental and sudden damage.

The type of policy you have will determine whether or not these are covered. Your house may one day be damaged by that water leak.

It’s possible that your insurance claim will be denied if you try to file one during that time.

If you didn’t make the necessary repairs, your insurer would discover that the issue had been present for a considerable amount of time.
