The maximum amount you can receive for a claim is the policy’s coverage limits.

For instance, you might only get $500 for each bag. Even for expensive items like jewelry and electronic devices, you might not get more.

For purchases exceeding a certain amount, you may be required to provide receipts. The insurer may only pay for repairs without receipts.

Before receiving coverage for the remainder of your claim up to the limit, you may be required to pay a deductible, also known as a one-time fee.

These are the circumstances under which your inclusion won’t cover the misfortune. Each policy is unique.

Your baggage damage coverage, for instance, might not cover losses caused by animals.

Bicycles, hearing aids or other medical devices, tickets, keys, and seizures by government or customs officials may not be covered.
