Anthropological topic and a CNRS Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (INSHS) scientific priority, according to Laurajane Smith, Director of the Centre of Heritage and Museum Studies at the Australian National University.
According to the director of the institute, Marie Gaille, “the international policy of the CNRS is an important part of the organization’s identity.” Many scientists, according to Gaille, have “strong and enduring ties with colleagues abroad that structure their research.”
Consequently, the CNRS’s research is “highly internationalized,” as evidenced by the fact that two-thirds of its co-publications are co-authored with a foreign laboratory. In 2019, when the CNRS celebrates its 80th anniversary, foreign employees demonstrated their devotion to the organization. The significance of such relationships is emphasized by this longer-lasting instrument for international ties.
Once the first classes overlap, this selective instrument will provide the CNRS with annual access to thirty internationally renowned scientists in the interest of its scientific community and visibility.
